Signs you need a CHRO now
Hiring is running ahead of any real org structure.
Two people in the same role are paid very differently, and both know it.
Turnover is climbing in the roles you can least afford to lose.
An acquisition, reorg or reduction is coming, and nobody on the team has led one.

Three ways to bring us in
Fractional CHRO: Senior people leadership part-time and ongoing, for when you need a strategic CHRO but not a full-time salary.
Interim CHRO: A full-time leader for a set period — when your head of HR leaves, during a reorg or integration, or while you search for a permanent hire.
Project: One defined job with a clear finish line, like a compensation framework, an org redesign or people integration after an acquisition.
Many clients ask to bring their Top7 leader on full-time as they grow. Our contracts allow it — a chance to try before you buy.
Your first 90 days
Days 0–30: Stabilize. Map the org, review pay and policies, and find the people risks that could hurt the business this year.
Days 30–60: Execute. Build the compensation framework, a hiring plan tied to the budget and a retention plan for key roles.
Days 60–90: Hand off. Document the people processes, coach your managers, and decide whether you need a full-time CHRO — and what that person should look like.
Common questions
How much time will the CHRO spend with us?
It depends on what your business needs. We take time to understand your environment first, then set the level of involvement — anywhere from about 8 hours a month up to 60.
What does it cost compared with a full-time CHRO?
Typically between less than 10% and 60% of what a full-time CHRO costs you. You pay for the senior judgment you need, not a full-time salary.
Can we hire our Top7 CHRO full-time?
Yes. Many clients grow into the need for a full-time leader, and our contracts allow you to hire your Top7 teammate when you get there. It's a chance to try before you buy.
How is a fractional CHRO different from an HR manager or a PEO?
An HR manager or PEO runs payroll, benefits and policy. A CHRO designs the organization: how it's structured, how people are paid and promoted, and who you need to hire next.
